Trivia / Miguelito

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Hélio Cícero plays both Seu Picoco and Seu Otávio, while Luah Galvão plays both Dona Carola and Dona Dina. Unlike in El Chavo del Ocho, the characters interpreted by the same person never interact at all.
  • Dawson Casting: Like in the show that inspired it, all of the children are played by adults.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The series was never shown on TV again after its one-week run in July 2000. The only reason the first five episodes are watchable is because one of the actors' grandson had access to them and published them online.
  • Lying Creator: Despite most elements of the series being copied from El Chavo del ocho, the actors and producers were instructed to deny any inspirations to the aforementioned series, saying that any similarity was a mere coincidence and even stating they had never heard of the show before. Instead, they claimed it was inspired on Sesame Street.
  • Orphaned Reference: In "Múmias", there is a scene where Marquinhos is alone at the street at night, scared. He calls for Miguelito, Bolão and Lilica by their respective names separately, and them calls them collectively by the name of "Power-Coloridos". This name is actually a reference to an would-be upcoming episode (which wound up unaired like the rest) which would involve the kids playing superheroes and forming a superhero team named "Power Coloridos".
  • The Shelf of Movie Languishment: None of the episodes of the series were available until 2023, when the five aired episodes, a short and a teaser trailer were uploaded on YouTube. The seventeen unaired episodes remain completely lost as of now, with very few information available about them. There are some behind-the-scenes pictures of unaired episodes published on newspapers at the time, such as one of Miguelito with a dog, while Marquinhos' actor recalls one episode about the kids pretending to be super-heroes (mentioned above).
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The series was originally going to premiere on January 2000, but it was pushed back to July.
    • As mentioned before, more episodes were produced and supposed to be aired on the following weeks, but the show was abruptly taken off the air.
