• Dawson Casting: As with many martial arts flicks, the old master is played by a much younger actor.
• Dueling Works: Was release on the very same day as Shaw Brothers' The Dragon Missile, another movie about an assassin who uses a projectile weapon capable of decapitating his victims. It's worth noting that Jimmy Wang Yu used to be an alumni of Shaw Brothers before he jumped ship.
• Fountain of Expies: Several characters actually went on to be Expies in other martial arts movies. Some of them got expied in turn into Fighting Games, making this a very influential film.
