Trivia / Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends

• The Cast Showoff: Maggie and Bianca have a band, so their actresses Emanuela Rei and Giorgia Boni can show off their singing skills in most episodes.
• Fake Nationality: Most characters are supposed to be foreign students at the Fashion Academy (including the "American" Maggie herself), but with rare exceptions, they are played by Italian actors who are Not Even Bothering with the Accent. Even the Asian character is an example: the Japanese Yuki played by Chinese actress Tiffany Zhou.
• What Could Have Been: In the 2011 unaired pilot, the show's working title was My American Friend, it was co-produced by Nickelodeon, and was meant to be about two American teenagers in Italy, played by Kiana and Kalina Campion. After three years, due to the show's production being too slow, Kalina and Kiana abandoned the project, although they would later return for guest appearances. In 2015, two Italian actresses were recast as the lead characters.
