• Died During Production: Akinari Matsuno passed away nearly seven months after publishing the 10th novel, which ends on a Cliffhanger. The manga artist, Issei Hyoju, continued the manga until February 2012 using the novels as a basis, but Matsuo never brought up a possible conclusion to the series, and as such, it remains unfinished.
• Outlived Its Creator: Issei Hyoju's manga adaptation continued for nearly one year after Akinari Matsuno's death.
