Trivia / Lucky Star: After Story

• In Memoriam: Chapter 29 was dedicated in memory of those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Chapter 30 was dedicated to the people who lost their lives as well as the people who were injured in both the Boston Marathon explosion and the Texas Fertilizer explosion.
• Schedule Slip: The chapters as of late have been coming out further and further apart. One of the reasons is that they are getting longer and longer. (Chapter 30 was 5,386 words, compared to as little as 1,500 words for Chapter 4)
  • As of March 16, 2015, Chapter 31 has yet to show up, and Chapter 30 was posted on May 15, 2013. The fact that the author hasn't updated any of his stories since August 14, 2013 is cause for concern that After Story is a Dead Fic.
  • In April 2015, the story's summary was updated with the announcement that Chapter 31 would be released by the end of the month. Even then, though, it still hasn't been posted, even though the author kept updating the description with new dates. The current projected date is the end of December 2015...and at time of this edit being made, it was January 2016, though it was updated to say "late January/early February 2016". It does demonstrate that neither the author nor the fic are dead, but it's clear something is happening to cause these constant delays. It's a bit of a shame, since after the Yutaka/Minami Honeymoon Arc (slated to run through chapter 32), the author has lined up two more arcs: one where Konata and Kagami have a second child (foreshadowed in chapter 27 with the text stating Konata was pregnant again), and one in which Tsukasa and Miyuki adopt.
  • Chapter 31 was FINALLY posted on February 29, 2016, after a hiatus of nearly three years, wrapping up the Yutaka/Minami Honeymoon Arc a chapter early. Another three-year hiatus ensued before Chapter 32 was released, which had no story and was just the author giving an update and assuring readers that neither ‘’After Story’’ nor any of his other in-progress fics are dead.
