Trivia / Kochikame

  • Completely Different Title: Rajawali Grafiti's unlicensed Indonesian translation of the manga renamed the title to "1001 Hari / Seribu Satu Hari" (1001 Days / One Thousand One Days).
  • Long-Runners: Actually, the words "long runner" completely fail to express how mind-bogglingly LONG this series is. With 200 volumes over forty years, it was the single longest-running manga ever made until that title was swept away by Golgo 13 in 2021.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Even though the whole franchise suffers of a No Export for You situation, Ryotsu makes his first American (and International, depending on the regions) debut in J-Stars Victory VS+.
  • No Export for You:
    • As of 2016, the manga series in its totality is really hard to be released overseas. Not only does the manga span 200-volumes over 40 years, but the humor and narrative are way too Japanese to be translated in any other language (similar to Sazae-san).
    • Averted with the anime that saw a release in Spain (even though it went through a Cultural Translation), Portugal, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.
