• Completely Different Title: Its official English title Happy Family has a totally different meaning from the Chinese title Bǎobèi nǚ'ér hǎo māmā (宝贝女儿好妈妈), which means "Baby Daughter and Good Mother".
• Sequel Gap: The second season released in 2012, eight years after the first one premiered in 2004.
• Similarly Named Works: By some coincidence, Cambodia also made their own animated series called Happy Family at some point in the 2020's to teach about how to stop the spread of COVID, starring a family of Funny Animal rabbits and created by Save the Children.
• Write What You Know: Huang Weiming based the series, particularly the first episode, off the musings of one of his friends, who often talked about trivial matters at her home.
