• Executive Meddling: According to an interview, Urobuchi intended for the Final Battle of the film to involve Mechagodzilla city doing far more elaborate and insane things like its turrets turning into MechaGodzilla heads and the entire thing combining to form a 1,000 meter tall Mechagodzilla to fight Godzilla, but Kobun Shizuno vetoed the idea.
• What Could Have Been: In an interview, Gen Urobuchi mentioned that he'd wanted the MechaGodzilla City to transform into a giant Mechagodzilla and fight Godzilla Earth, but that director Kobun Shizuno kiboshed that idea due to not wanting any monster-on-monster fights. Another shot down idea was for parts of the city's armaments to begin turning into Mechagodzilla heads.
