• What Could Have Been:
  • Dan-Ku-Ga was planned as an Updated Re-release, which allowed players to play as the bosses Gonzales and Azteca, and added several balance changes. While a prototype ROM was later leaked, it never saw an official release until 2022 when it was included on the Taito Egret II mini console.
  • Kaiser Knuckle 2 was planned as a sequel to the arcade board used in making the transition to 3D, but the planning board was canceled. Later, it was redone as Psychic Force, which replaced the old models with new ones.
