• Dueling Works: With Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, which released a few months earlier in the arcades. The sheer number of parallels they share with each other can be considered absurd.

  • Rock does not wear an apron while cooking. A fact which was later alluded to in SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy in Terry's ending.
  • Freeman was driven insane by Metallica's "...And Justice for All" album.
  • Rock learned Geese's special moves without even realizing it.
  • Kevin and Blue Mary are in fact related, but not very close.
  • Freeman does in fact have a spine, it's just that his body is "very soft".
  • Terry and Rock both drive motorcycles, Rock's was bought with his own tournament winnings.
  • Geese and Marie were not married.
  • Kain's butler is named Arnold Sebastian, and he went missing along with Kain in the endings where his castle was destroyed.
  • Terry's pet monkey ran away from home prior to the game, but is now looking for Terry and doesn't know where he is.

  • When it comes to who has the strongest abs, Freeman wins in regards to flexibility, Tizoc's are the most durable, and Khushnood Butt sports the biggest abs overall.
• What Could Have Been: The original unfinished sequel that had been planned. Prior to EVO 2022, there was doubt a Garou sequel could ever be made. Of things of note of the original sequel, its roster would have apparently included all of the characters from the first game, even Grant (who ends up dead in every story), with six new characters, one of which was supposed to be Joe Higashi's apprentice (later to be refitted as Preecha). The story was written up to the end, and Rock and B. Jenet would've gotten new moves.
