• Billing Displacement: The cast was billed in alphabetical order, but the lead character was Daley, played by Hallee Hirsh. However, with the exploding popularity of High School Musical, most promotional material for the series would focus heavily on Corbin Bleu as if it were a star vehicle for him and he was the lead.
• Dawson Casting: Several of the cast members were in their early/mid twenties playing high schoolers. Jeremey Kissner (Eric) was 20, Kristy Wu (Melissa) was 23, and Johnny Pacar (Cody) was pushing it at 24. The rest of the cast were in their late teens.
• What Could Have Been: According to creator DJ Mac Hale, the show was initally pitched as being more for adults but had to be retooled after it was discovered ABC was developing a similar show.
