• Outdated by Canon:
  • The series created its own backstory to Roman Torchwick tying him to Brunswick Farm and the Apathy and how he met Neo. This was before Rooster Teeth released RWBY: Roman Holiday, which is the origin story of both Roman and Neo's partnership.
  • Fixing Volume 1 named Neo's semblance "Looking Glass" before Roman Holiday officially named it "Overactive Imagination".
• What Could Have Been: The official Sketchy Huntsmen twitter account for “Fixing RWBY” reveals they had alot of different ideas for the character redesigns.
  • Ruby's different concept designs: including(but not limited to), her having a tattered and ripped cape with patches and a completely silver and grey coloured dress; and having grimm-teeth on her belt.
  • Weiss's many different concept designs: including(but not limited to), A more winter looking outfit, a couple more elaborate looking hairstyles, a design similar to a musketeer (with pants), and one design with a red winter poncho.
  • Blake in particular went through multiple different concept designs before settling on casual version of her volume 1-3 design and the kuo kuana guard uniform.
    • They also considered redesigning/giving Blake a custom uniform including, giving her a more purple version of with gold trimmings connected to a pin with the kuo kuana symbol on her side and her emblem on her chest, giving her a white verson with black trimmings, one version with a purple sash, and a complete redesign based on Filipino moros armour and a shield with the kuo kuana symbol on it.
  • Fox and Neptune were originally going to die in the Fall of Beacon, but Fox staring in RWBY: After the Fall and Neptune making a cameo appearance in volume 6 of RWBY forced a story adjustment, leaving the two alive if crippled.
