Then, in 2023, he revealed that it would be published that year and alongside it, but as a short series published monthly. However, Mashima than stated in a Space later that year that ''Dead Rock'' has become more popular than he thought it might be, so it could become a longer series itself, though he isn't sure he can work on both as well as Storyboard and provide other assistance on Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest
