• Career Resurrection: Sian Gibson hadn't landed an acting job for a year and was working in a call centre when she was cast in Car Share. It's highly unlikely that she'll ever need to go back to the call centre now.
• Production Posse: A number of past Peter Kay collaborators show up. Sian Gibson previously appeared in Phoenix Nights. Archie Kelly (the dog walker), Reece Shearsmith ("Stink" Ray), David Galbraith (Ian Litchfield) and Pearce Quigley (the rude cyclist) have also featured in other Kay projects.
• The Red Stapler: Sales of the long out-of-print compilation CD Now That's What I Call Music 48 suddenly shot up after Kayleigh mentioned it was her favorite album in the show.
