Trivia / Bones (2001)

• Box Office Bomb: The movie made $8,378,853 at the box office, just barely over half of its $16 million budget.
• Executive Meddling: Hoo boy, was there. After the box office failures of Town & Country and Little Nicky, New Line Cinema recut the hell out of Bones to make it more of an exploitation film, and marketed the film solely to black audiences and urban areas, despite Snoop Dogg having a white fanbase as well. This wound up biting New Line Cinema in the ass, as the film bombed at the box office.
• Spared by the Cut: In deleted scenes, Jimmy only slashes the faces of the Bumbling Henchman Duo, and they report back to a skeptical Eddie. The director decided that due to their part in ruining the neighborhood by selling drugs, it didn't make sense for either Jimmy or the script to leave them alive.
