- Acting for Two: Many of the actors playing the live-action characters in the Framing Device also voice Wonderland characters. Stephen Murray plays Lewis Carroll and the Knave of Hearts, Pamela Brown plays Queen Victoria and the Queen of Hearts, Felix Aylmer plays Dr. Liddell and the Cheshire Cat, Ernest Milton plays the Vice Chancellor and the White Rabbit, Raymond Bussières plays the Tailor and the Mad Hatter, and David Reed plays Prince Albert and the King of Hearts.
- Dawson Casting: Carol Marsh was 20 when she played Alice, who was described in the original book as being 7 years old.
- Dueling Works: This film's undoing was that it was made around the time Disney decided to make their Alice in Wonderland. Despite the only similarity between the two being that they were based on the same source material, Disney still set out to crush their rival's chances of success.
- No Stunt Double: Carol Marsh insisted on doing her own stunts. For her fall down the rabbit hole, she was dropped thirty feet into a net. Mile Roselie, a famous French trapeze artist, showed Marsh how to make the fall, but she still ended up with bruised knees and scratched legs.
