- Awesome Music: "I'm Upside Down" is such a catchy tune that chances are, most people who watch the film will find themselves humming it. The White Rabbit's song "Play the Game" also sounds like something from an operetta, with some very witty lyrics.
- Nightmare Fuel: Many of the puppets are quite grotesque and frightening in appearance.
- Uncanny Valley: The puppets, especially the ones that are supposed to be humans like the Mad Hatter, the Duchess, and the Queen of Hearts.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: The stop-motion animation is surprisingly fluid for a film that was made over 70 years ago. In most places, the live-action Alice blends in pretty well with it too.
