Trivia / Agony (1992)

Go To

  • Divorced Installment: The game started development as Twilight, initially meant to be a sequel to the developers' earlier game Unreal (no, not that one).
  • Dueling Games: The game was released in 1992, which proved to be a notable year for Amiga Shoot Em Ups as it also brought the releases of Project X and Apidya. Bonus points for Apidya also featuring the player in the wings of a magician that shapeshifts into an animal, a bee in that game's case.
  • Referenced by...: Dimmu Borgir sampled the game's title song - without Tim Wright's credit - as "Sorgens Kammer" from Stormblast.
  • What Could Have Been: The game was going to have an introductory cinematic as it was common with Psygnosis's Amiga releases. However, the game itself was already taking up three disks and including one more disk for the intro would have added up massively to the manufacturing costs, thus it was scrapped.
  • The choice of a publisher had no influence on the choice of the protagonist, it was the developers' idea to make an owl the player character.
