• Creator Backlash: Tim Jacobus called the cover one of his least favorites, as he had to rush the design.
• Fake Brit:
  • Well yeah, most of the English characters are played by Canadians - except Michael Polley as the cab driver, Peter Messaline as Mr Starkes, and Ann Holloway as the Peasant Woman. The accents on the others are quite noticeable, although Diego Matamoros does quite a good job as Morgred.
  • Kathryn Short and Corey Sevier use their own accents as Sue and Eddie, and switch to RP when their Identity Amnesia wears off.
• You Look Familiar:
  • Kathryn Short plays Sue in this, and had previous played Sabrina in The Haunted Mask.
  • Corey Sevier plays Eddie, and later stars as Ryan in Cry of the Cat.
  • Diego Matamoros plays Morgred, and later lent his voice to the shadow figure in The Ghost Next Door.
• What Could Have Been: Earlier drafts of the book had more instances of Eddie and Sue running away, but RL Stine thought this was too boring, and streamlined these.
