Trivia / A Loud House Christmas

Go To

  • Dyeing for Your Art:
    • Wolfgang Schaeffer (brunet) dyed his hair white as Lincoln. The hair dye caused his hair to start falling out, so when he reprised the role in The Really Loud House, he wore a wig instead.
    • Sophia Woodward cut her hair to pixie-cut length to play Luna. Prior to the film, her hair was always long.
    • Morgan McGill (blonde) dyed her hair brunette as Lynn.
    • Lexi Janicek (blonde) donned a brunette wig as Lisa. Of course, it's justified by the animated series establishing that Lisa does wear a wig.
  • Dawson Casting:
    • Some of the Loud sisters' actors are several years older than their characters: 22-year-old Lexi DiBenedetto as 17/18-year-old Lori, 11-year-olds Aubin Bradley and Mia and Ella Allan as 8-year-old Lucy and 7-year-olds Lana and Lola, 10-year-old Lexi Janicek as 4/5-year-old Lisa, and 4-year-old Charlotte Ann Tucker as 15-month-old/2-year-old Lily.
    • Likewise, 24-year-old Matt Van Smith plays 17/18-year-old Bobby Santiago.
  • The Other Darrin: In the Italian dub, while most of the cast of the animated series reprise their roles, Lily is voiced by Sofia Fronzi instead of Giada Bonanomi, while Alessandro Germano replaces Marco Benedetti as Howard McBride.
  • Schedule Slip: The movie was announced back in February 2020 with a premiere slated for the fourth quarter of that year, but the film ended up being delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Throw It In!: According to director Jonathan Judge, there was plenty of improv moments done by the cast. Most notably, Catherine Bradley improvised Luan shrieking, "IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU, MR. COCONUTS!!!"
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Morgan McGill, who played Lynn, experienced harassment on the internet from several Loud House fans who criticized her for not looking entirely like the character. Said Loud House fans made insults and jokes targeted at McGill's appearance and acting skills, threatened to ruin her social media presence, and stated she should've never been chosen for the role of Lynn to begin with. They initially thought McGill was an adult woman playing the character, said she had a large forehead and looked and acted too feminine to portray the tomboyish Lynn, and claimed she was not a real athlete, which was later proven false by her mother. In particular, one fan accused her of being racist and homophobic, and even sent obscene artwork of Lynn to McGill, who was 13 years old at the time. They had additionally started a petition and attempted to contact Nickelodeon to get McGill kicked off the movie before it released. Some have speculated the bullying McGill faced was the reason why she did not reprise the role in The Really Loud House.
  • Working Title: It was originally called The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas when it was first announced.
