As is the case with all pages detailing Tear Jerker, Spoilers Off

  • In chapter 4, Kodachi quietly admits her mother walked out on the Kuno family for such a long time that she cannot remember anything about the woman, prompting the other teens to remember their own mothers. The luckiest one is Ryoga, and since both his parents have No Sense of Direction just as bad as him, he got to see them so rarely that he's practically an orphan too.
    • Then Ranma has to admit Nodoka has a few screws loose and would actually kill him for not being manly enough if he ever dared to meet her, driving him to storm off. Everybody else is horrified.
  • In chapter 17, Ranma thinking about how his relationship with the girls evolved for the better since they left Nerima leads him to reflect upon his engagement to Akane — and he somberly admits he just doesn't miss her as much as expected. In spite of Akane's good points, they ultimately wouldn't stop fighting with each other and bringing the worst into themselves, and love isn't supposed to be that.
  • Harumi's backstory is quite tragic; his mother resented him for being a son instead of a daughter and also leaving her barren, and when he tried to take up swordsmanship to become a worthy heir, she rejected him all the harder, to the point she would encourage her students and all the other warrior-women of the island to beat, brutalize and bully Harumi as hard as they liked.
    • In chapter 19, Harumi muses that he fell in love with a girl in his village three years ago, but her sisters beat him unconscious when he expressed an interest in her.
  • In Chapter 29 we learn that Shampoo once had a crush on a boy in the village before meeting Ranma, but Mousse "accidentally" hurt his hand so badly that it never healed properly, and he fell in love with Shampoo's cousin Sugar, who was the one who nursed him back to health, and they already have twins.
  • In Chapter 30 Ranma and Kodachi make it back to the ship with the scrolls with clues to Dyna's homeland, only for Capone Bege to blow them to bits out of sheer spite, robbing Dyna of the first real lead to finding her way home after possibly centuries of searching.
  • In Chapter 31 the Skryre are a Rat Men tribe of Minks that left their ancestral homeland long ago. Shy beings, they used the Model Child to infiltrate human settlements and steal their trash, only for Nosferatu to infect the bearer and gain the power and intelligence of the fruit, controlling them and forcing them to attack others so that Nosferatu could use them as hosts as well. Luckily things turn around for them after Nosferatu is defeated.
  • In Chapter 32 we learn that Lilith was tricked into the clutches of a deranged princess named Eveline Kubera, and when she escaped the first time her family was slaughtered when she was recaptured.
