The original series
  • In the episode "Lullaby for Hedgehog" Chiko discovers that he has to hibernate till spring, and asks Krash to sing a lullaby. It starts off like a normal lullaby, but turns into a sad song about how Krash may never see Chiko until spring. He even sees a cactus and imagines it's Chiko! Poor guy. Luckily in the end he and Dokko discover that Chiko is a type of hedgehog that doesn't have to hibernate, but it is still a sad episode.

  • "Magic Jug" is one of the few main series' episodes without any jokes, being made in memory of Anatoly Prokhorov (one of the series' creators), who died of leukemia. It's about Chiko who found a weak living firefly, but despite his attempts to nurture it back to health the bug "faded away forever". Before that happened, Chiko met Wally who carried with him a "magic jug" full of water in which anything can be "stored" by being reflected. Once they met at a shore during daytime, Chiko wondered if his firefly might be in the jug but after looking into water he saw nothing. Wally assured him of the opposite:
Wally: Don't be ridiculous. It is there. In my jug there are sun, sea, mountains, forests, even the entire world! And you expect to spot a little firefly amongst all of this? Besides, it's very bright in there right now.
    Chiko: You think so?
    Wally: I'm certain.

  • The ending to "Bibi's Day". Bibi finally saves Umflier from an explosion and gets out of the "Groundhog Day" Loop at the cost of his energy and arm. While recovering, the crew transmits him energy with the help of exercise machines, and Barry cheerfully claims that their power will keep him alive for thousand years. Cut to 1000 years in the future: Bibi outlived his father and friends, and the scene puts a lot of emphasize on how much he misses them. It ends with him looking at the old picture of him and the crew together, with subtitles bellow (which seem to belong to Bibi himself) reading "Your power is always with me."
