Tear Jerker / Jelly Jamm

Go To

  • The second half of the "White Dodo" episode. Ongo and the titular White Dodo have shared a bond together, and after the latter leaves, he becomes disinterested in doing anything, including playing the song he and the dodo worked on together. The other kids share his sadness by huddling close to him.
    • Bello tries to lighten the mood, but even then it becomes apparent to him that their friend might never return.
Bello: Think about it... it's not a big deal. He hasn't disappeared, right, Goomo? The White Dodo is there, somewhere... flying through space!
(Ongo stares at him for a moment before sadly looking down.)
Bello: You're right... he's gone. It's as if he's disappeared...
    • More of a heartwarming tearjerker, but notice the way he cries after receiving the songbook the White Dodo left for the kids. No loud wailing, no Ocular Gushers. Just silence and a Single Tear.
  • Bello accidentally making everyone lose their memories in "Silent Sheriff" and turning them into a depressive mess, greyed out and all. Not even Goomo, his best friend in the universe, remembers him.
Goomo: Who are you? Who am I? Well, I guess that doesn't matter...
  • Poor Goomo being torn up about his "Wamma Jamma" box disappearing in "Radio Goomo". Bello and Mina even end up feeling guilty about taking it.
Mina: We deserve to be in Disappearance Land!
  • In "Musical Aurora", Goomo is stricken with a bad case of jelly measles. He's willing to see the rare titular aurora and tries to hide it to avoid being sent home. On the day of the event, he's such a mess that everyone notices his illness, and he has to stay home. Feeling bad for him, they decide to give Goomo a big "get well soon" hug. Overlaps with Heartwarming.
  • In "Flying Lies", Bello sees how upset Mina is about not getting a picture of the rare blue dodo, and confesses that it was his fault that the Dodo flew off.
Bello: Oh... I'm sorry, Mina. It's my fault. Now you'll never see a blue dodo again.
    • Hell, any time any of the kids admit when they do something wrong is a little heartwrenching.
