  • For the episode on Clouds, a movie about a real-life musician who died of cancer at the age of eighteen, Tony begins the podcast with a disclaimer about the movie's topic and expresses worry that he and his guests may have crossed a line joking about it. He expresses his condolences to Zach Sobiech's family and includes a link to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund in the episode's description. Tony and his guests also commiserate over loved ones lost to cancer. Tony also goes off on the Glurge of the movie and how it lies about how absolutely devastating cancer can be and how belief and hope don't always get you through it.
  • In the episode discussing On Pointe, Kevin Anderson opens up about his high school experience. It was a magnet school for the fine arts, and he would spend sometimes 16-hour days dedicated solely to theater. It was consuming, not to mention that he still had to put up with all the other social issues rampart in high school. There was a theater director who used to be a roadie that would treat his sister like trash, one teacher said that he "looked like a damn fool", and he was told on three separate occasions that he was cut from a performance because "everyone else is more talented". The level of mental abuse made him turn away from performing and gave him PTSD. The story does end on an uplifting note, though, as he says that people like Tony have regained him confidence to return to performing.
  • The Muppets Haunted Mansion episode:
    • Everyone says how much they identify with Gonzo's fear that nobody will care about him if he doesn't do dangerous stunts as they're all entertainers themselves.
    • They discuss how Jim Henson basically worked himself to death, most of the original Muppet performers are either dead or have quit, and how Gonzo's puppeteer Dave Goelz is aging and is the last of the first generation performers.
    • Madeleine, who used to do standup comedy, says Fozzie hits too close to home for her because "every comedian is as depressed as Fozzie."
  • A lot of the "State Of The Parks" intermissions are somber, especially as real world issues come into play.
  • The group’s reaction to a parrot losing its wing to a dog attack in Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER. Tony sounds genuinely heartbroken for the bird, comparing it to a person losing their legs.
