  • The way Wallace!Felicia makes fun of Erma's love for Warrior Unicorn Princess, getting her to the point of tears and her fighting back, but still is unable to harm her, still thinking it's the babysitter she likes so much. When Felicia is able to recover her body and apologizes for whatever she said to Erma during that time, Erma just breaks down and holds onto Felicia while sobbing.
  • Erma- The Family Reunion Part 10 while traveling to their destination, Erma gets amazed by the stores at Akihabara, especially one dedicated to her favorite show Warrior Unicorn Princess, only for one of the twins to crush the poor girl's illusions by stating that the family isn't going to visit any of them.
  • The Search Part 8 details the memories the Yureimoto siblings made together back when Emiko still lived together with them, and while there were clearly some good times, it also shows times going progressively worse (such as the time Rin got her bottom scar) and always has the sisters' father looming in the background as a dark, menacing presence, culminating in Emiko's decision to run away, and the effect that decision had on the rest of her sisters... and on herself...
  • The Search Part 25 focuses on Rin opening up to Erma and telling her both about her hatred of humans that she's been reminding herself of for so long that she cannot even remember why she keeps reminding herself to hate them, as well as her feelings of having been abandoned by her own family, her jealousy of Emiko for daring to defy their abusive father and run away to find the happiness and family that Rin wishes that she had... the poor woman really just needs a hug... and Erma gives her one.
  • The Recounted Days Part 2 has Erma attempting to gain new friends with the other children of the town with her magic, but Mitsu & Momo undo her attempts by bullying and threatening them to not get closer to Erma, at the same time they discourage her to attempt it again as she sadly watches the other kids getting away from her.
    • The second time she attempts to befriend them in The Night Parade Part 21 it's clear that they may want to, but are now aware that she's part of the ruling family and the twins cousin, so are too scared of what might happen to them and decide to leave her alone.
    • The third time she encounters the group they antagonize her and cruelly trap Erma by sealing her with chains and talismans that render the poor girl not only powerless but betrayed as she doesn't understand why they are hurting her.
      • The reason why? Turns out that the Yokai Thug Trio had kidnapped two of their friends (the Kappa and the Amefurikozo) and asked the group to bring Erma to them if they wanted to see them again.
  • The Recounted Days Part 3 has the interview the Yureimoto siblings, and while most of the page is just plain funny, once it gets to Rin it... stops being funny very fast... Sam picks up on this, respectfully turns off his recorder and speaks to Rin as her brother-in-law rather than an interviewer. It gets especially hard when Sam brings up the question of where Rin got her upper scar... We don't get to hear the answer, but the implication seems to be that it may have been inflicted by her father, which is confirmed a few parts later during a "The Reason You Suck" Speech Emiko gives Osamu.
  • The Recounted Days Part 4 acts as a sort-of sequel to The Search Part 8 and details the memories Mayumi made together with Emiko, specifically Emiko protecting Mayumi from bullies as well as their own father, and how Emiko leaving the family also left Mayumi without any protection... thankfully Erma comes to the rescue and turns the situation heartwarming.
  • The Night Parade - Part 16 sees Amaya interact with her family for the first time, and she quickly proves that Osamu was not the only terrible parent Emiko and her siblings had. The first thing she does when she sees them is to criticize Fumiko, Kentaro, and Rin in a manner intended to be hurtful. As for poor Mayumi, Amaya doesn't even acknowledge her presence, instead acting as if she's too disgusted by Mayumi to even look at her.
  • In The Night Parade - Part 26, after Emiko chews out Osamu for his bad parenting and thinking he can just live without even acknowledging how much he ruined the lives of her and her siblings, he enters his true tengu form to make a rebuttal. Emiko's happy life with Sam and their daughter over the past decade? That was something he allowed. They never actually escaped from him. He immediately discovered where they were hiding, and at any point he could've dragged Emiko back home and place her under permanent house arrest, while making sure Sam underwent eternal suffering and torment for daring to love her. He then happily reverts back, saying that such things are all in the past, and wishes her a good night. The realization that she might truly be powerless in the face of her father puts her catatonic shock for most of the following day, showing how underneath all the anger, she shares everyone else's deep-seated fear of the man.
Osamu: I'm not looking for forgiveness. I don't need to. After all, I am still your father.
  • The kids in Japan that Erma tried to befriend not only sold her out to the Yokai Thug Trio that attacked her and her cousins earlier on, but one openly tells her they were never friends and they only used her to get Erma's cousins off their backs. They paint Erma as the bad guy and leave her for dead.
  • The aftermath of Erma's rampage ended with many innocent yokai uninvolved with her kidnapping losing their houses and being physically and emotionally scarred by the event.
  • The next day, after waking up from a nightmare of her rampage, Erma wakes up and upon overhearing her parents discussing with Yori and Fumiko, she finds out that her rampage was very real, she caused devastation upon the town and scarred numerous people for life, being horrified of what she just did and looking concerned when they find out she was overhearing them, learning the bad news in the worst way possible. Her parents and aunts try to reassure her that everything is going to be fine and that it wasn't her fault and that they will find the true responsibles for her kidnapping, but Erma still feels responsible, believing she killed the evil yokai trio.
  • The Aftermath
    • Part 1 reveals that even after returning from Japan, Erma hasn't forgiven herself for her involvement in the Yokai town destruction, having nightmares of her classmates turning against her upon learning of her rampage in Japan and locking herself in the bathroom, only to face her monstrous staring at her weakly self. As she suddenly wakes up from the nightmare, she cries as her worried parents try to console the poor kid.
