An amnesiac girl named Rayne is woken up by the delinquent Samael who finds her on a rooftop. Rayne doesn't have any memories before she woke up and is told that an apocalypse has happened, caused by the Murks, monsters that feed on humans. After Samael saves her, the two make a deal and travel across a monster-filled city, trying to survive.
Not to be confused with the 2012 horror game or the 2015 environmental narrative game of the same name.
The webcomic provides examples of:
- Amnesiac Hero: The protagonist, Rayne, suffers from amnesia and doesn't remember anything before waking up on a rooftop with a knife in hand. She wasn't even aware that an apocalypse has happened until Samael tells her.
- Better to Die than Be Killed: Discussed by Samael when he mentions the knife Rayne happens to wake up with, saying she might've thought of killing herself before getting amnesia in order to not face whatever will be out there in the world.
- Enfant Terrible: Alex turns out to be an Infected who has murdered his parents and is seen eating his mother’s arm after Rayne goes looking for him. He plays a game of hide and seek with Rayne, planning to kill her if he finds her.
- Palm Bloodletting: Gressil decides to play a game of chance with Rayne and Tomoha where they cut their palms to attract the nearby Infected. Gressil does so and asks Rayne if she’s going to play the game. After he threatens Tomoha, Rayne takes his knife and cuts her hand.
