Tropes associated with Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci:

  • Animated Music Video: The music video for "Spanish Dance Troupe". The music video for "Poodle Rockin'" also somewhat qualifies as this due to it's usage of Stop Motion.
  • Band of Relatives: Euros and Megan Childs are siblings.
  • Indecipherable Lyrics: Even when their songs are in English, they can be a little hard to understand due to Euros Childs' prominent Welsh accent.
  • Miniscule Rocking: Roughly a third of Spanish Dance Troupe is less than two minutes long.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted with Euros Childs and Euros Rowlands.
  • Shout-Out: The music video for "Poodle Rockin'" contains a twofer reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey. The first one parodies the famous Match Cut when the titular poodle throws a drumstick in the air, only for it to turn into a milk bone. This is immediately followed by the poodle imitating Frank Poole's body floating off into space.
