◊ towards his mentor Lisa Lisa:"Why did it have to come to this? You're tearing me APART, Lisa Lisa!" - In Skullgirls, one of Ms. Fortune's lines is "You are tearing us apart!" in an intentionally awkward and stiff tone of voice.
- Q-Bert from MADNESS: Project Nexus 2 sometimes tells the player character "Oh hey, [player name], I didn't recognize you. You're my favorite customer", referencing the Flower Shop Lady.

- In Captain Disillusion and Mark Rober's videos featuring the both regarding the fake phone drone video, the former absentmindedly address the latter with "Oh, high Mark" in the same tone as Johnny in response to Mark trying to get his attention.
- In the Hilarious Outtakes at the end of Lindsay Ellis' "The Most Whitewashed Character Ever", Abigail Thorn slurs her way through one take, before punctuating The Phantom's tirade with "I'm fed up with this world!".
- Roahm Mythril's Let's Plays of several games in the Silent Hill series reference the film several times. In the second game, he imitates Johnny when examining James' photo of Mary at one point ("No. I wouldn't do that. I could never hate her. I could never deny her. Oh hai, Mary"). His playthrough of the 4th game is bookended by several skits that depict Roahm hiring Tommy Wiseau as his travel agent and regretting it afterwards, and throughout the run he greets an object in Henry's apartment with his Johnny voice whenever he starts a new recording session.
