Yuga is devastated by his loss against Nail. Concerned for him, his friends help him look for a way to defeat Nail and turn to Otes for help. They must, however, show their resolve and defeat him in a duel.
Tropes:
- Ambiguous Situation: Subverted. It was unclear how Otes used Red-Eyes to inflict damage on his opponents on the first turn of the duel, but it was revealed to be possible because of the spell card Inferno Fire Blast.
- The Bus Came Back: Red-Eyes Black Dragon makes a proper appearance in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series for the first time since the final season of GX.
- Get a Hold of Yourself, Man!: Roa chews out on Yuga for musing over his devastating loss against Nail and brushing it off as an instance of bad luck.
- Morton's Fork: Regardless of the outcome of the duel between Yuga's friends and Otes, they'll receive a penalty each (for a total of five) due to Otes's connections with Yuga. Knowing this, they risk it anyway, if only to get the answer they need to counter Nail's Secret Weapon.
