The gang heads to Paris to see Daphne's cousin Danika win "Model of the Year", but they discover she has been abducted by a gargoyle from the Notre Dame cathedral that has come to life.
This episode contains examples of the following:
- Crazy-Prepared: Daphne as usual, who has a pair of “wallowing galoshes” not only for herself but Velma and Fred as well.
- Fashion Show: The episode kicks off with a model, Daphne’s cousin Danika, getting abducted while she’s rehearsing for a Paris fashion show.
- Fruit Cart: In one of the Once per Episode chase scenes, Fred, Daphne, & Velma pile into a cab to chase after the gargoyle who’s flying off with Shaggy and Scooby and they barrel through several fruit carts.
- Gratuitous French: Mostly by Fred who butchers every phrase.
- My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels: Fred's attempts to speak French come out... rather less than effective.
- Noodle Implement: Fred wants to use a convoluted trap involving feathers and dynamite to catch the monster, but Velma has other plans and we never see how exactly this trap would come out.
- Our Gargoyles Rock: The Monster of the Week is a gargoyle, which has kidnapped Daphne's cousin.
- Tunnel Network: The gang’s search for the gargoyle leads them down into the Paris Catacombs.
- Uncanny Family Resemblance: All Daphne needs to look identical to her cousin Danica is a wig. She says that her Uncle Julius also resembles Danica when he wears heels.
