While trying to bring a penguin named Little Pete back to Antarctica, the gang stumbles upon a fish-like creature, that has imprisoned a professor under the ice.
This episode contains examples of the following:
- Artistic Licence – Law: Scooby would not be allowed to accompany Little Pete to Antarctica in real life as Dogs have banned from there in 1994.
- Human Popsicle: Dr. Armind Zola attempts to freeze himself intentionally with the help of Hopper, who dressed as the fish creature, as he believed that his knowledge would be better shared in the future.
- Hypocritical Humor: At the end of the episode Dr. Zola looks forward to going home as he had come to realize that his plan to freeze himself for the future was insane, only to come up with another insane plane with Hopper's help by cloning himself.
- Shout-Out:
- Dr. Zola's is might be an allusion to the Marvel Comics supervillain, Dr. Arnim Zola.
- Monroe Hopper whines, "That thing! That thing!" referring to a monster lurking in the Arctic.
