Plot

  • Note: The dates of the days are in accordance with the Alternative Calendar of this roleplay, which can be found in the Remnant folder of the World-building Recap.

Beacon-1

     Temp 7(Sat): Beginning at Beacon 
  • Pages 1-10:
    • The player characters begin their story on the airship, heading to Beacon.
    • The newsfeed comes up, discussing White Fang attacks and the apparent death of a Faunus. This was followed by Gaston flat-out saying that Faunus didn't deserve rights. This didn’t endear him to anyone, especially the Faunus students.
    • Ozpin stops the ship and sends everyone off to fight the flock of Nevermores coincidentally passing by the ship. Calypso knocked out Gaston, a bunch of people showed off their skills… And Davros didn't do anything, due to the fact that he was stuck in the bathroom.
    • Urujauni shows up, riding a Nevermore...and didn't get the fanfare she thought she was going to get. Lucas and Pius’ first posts were also in this general area, but they just...showed up.
    • Afterwards, Glynda apologizes for Ozpin’s actions, and all the students head to the auditorium. Then Gaston plowed into Lucas, beginning a long trend of butt-monkey status for the latter.
    • Everyone chatted for a bit until Jack passed out from blood loss. Glynda sent him to the Nurse’s office, and Lucas, who had run off to get a medic and ended up getting lost, ran into Ozpin himself.

     Temp 7(Sat): Beginning at Beacon 

To Beacon (Pages 1-5)

  • Beacon's latest batch of recruits are travelling to Beacon via airship. Princess Alexia of Vale is on board, wearing a paper thin disguise.
  • Chloe, Leah and Alexia have a catty conversation.
  • Mack unexpectedly enters the viewing gallery through a window, striking up a conversation with Charisse and Glen.
  • The airship leaves Vale airspace and flies over the Emerald Forest.
  • Leah, Chloe and Ghatz join a game of poker with Hiiro
  • The airship comes to an abrupt halt, interrupting all conversations and Hiiro's game.
  • Alexia suspects a test, and her suspicions are confirmed when a hologram of Ozpin challenges the students to make their way to Beacon on foot through the Emerald Forest.

An Unexpected Test (Pages 5-9)

  • Recruits begin to pour out of the airship, facing off against a pack of Beowolves led by a Kerberos. Chloe lands on the alpha's back.
  • The recruits fight their way towards Beacon through the pack of Beowolves. The recruits fight the alpha, which throws Chloe off its back, dodges Charisse's attack, and counters with acidic spit. Beowolves surround the recruits.
  • The alpha spits at Chloe and Wulfric, but Alexia defends them with her shield.
  • Mack transforms his weapon into a car. Chloe and Hiiro hop in for a ride. The alpha attacks Mack's car and the driver, Mack himself.
  • Noa attempts to bet against Alexia that she and Noiri will reach safety first, but Alexia refuses. Chloe accepts the bet instead, and makes the condition that the loser has to streak one lap around the Beacon campus.
  • Charisse disables the alpha's legs using her Semblance. Several students gang up on the Kerberos alpha, Mack backing up into it with his car and running it over, Charisse, Glen and Everett firing on it, and Charisse delivering a final fatal blow that slices its head clean off.
  • The Beowolves begin to disperse or charge blindly after the alpha's death.
  • Charisse makes off with the alpha's head and a claw as trophies. Glen skins the alpha for its pelt.
  • The final obstacle between the recruits and Beacon is the cliff face leading up to the Beacon skyport. Noa and Chloe's bet shifts into a race to the top. Chloe is the winner, using Leah as a leg up to reach the top before Noa does.
  • The recruits climb up the cliff to the Beacon skyport. Noiri and Glen join Mack's carpool and ascend via hovering. Everett and Ai use Everett's weapon to launch themselves straight over the cliff. Johann is carried by Wulfric.

Arrival at Beacon (Pages 9-12)

  • The students arrive at the Beacon skyport.
  • Alexia accidentally reveals her true identity as the princess of Vale.
  • Noa accepts Chloe's condition to streak a lap around the school campus, but also asks Noiri to help her plan a possible counter.
  • A hologram of Glynda Goodwitch introduces the recruits to Beacon and directs them to the amphitheater for the opening ceremony.
  • The recruits shuffle into Beacon's amphitheater. Goodwitch awaits on the stage, but Ozpin is nowhere to be seen. Goodwitch is disapproving of Ozpin's stunt.
  • While waiting, students strike up conversations amongst each other:
    • Glen and Alfred introduce themselves to each other.
    • Ai has a short conversation with Noa, in which Noa offers the trade of information should Ai have any information to return in the future.
    • Charisse, Alexia and Ai become fast friends.
    • Mack has a conversation with Noa about Noa losing her bet.
    • Noiri and Noa exchange a plan.
    • Ghatz has the most amazing conversation with thin air.
    • Chloe uses Leah's Scroll to post selfies on Swiftograph. Leah disapproves.
    • Hiiro shows Chloe a magic trick and then she falls on top of him conveniently. Leah separates them.
  • Ozpin finally makes his first real appearance. He delivers a terse speech, dismantling any notion of a Hunter's life being noble or romantic, and justifies his decision of sending the recruits into the forest to fight against Beowolves.
  • The initiation is scheduled for tommorow, Tempestas 8, 7:00 AM.

Before Dinner (Pages 12-19)

  • It is now 6:00 PM, an hour and a half before dinner, and the recruits are leased to wander the gardens, courtyard and amphitheater so long as they do not disturb the higher years.
  • Charisse and Alexia exchange Scroll contact details. Charisse mysteriously loses the Kerberos claw, and Noiri mysteriously picks one up.
  • Noa upholds her bet with Chloe, and Chloe leads her and the other recruits interested in watching into the courtyard to watch this overly long subplot quickly become a trainwreck in motion.
  • Chloe films Noa with Leah's Scroll. Noa stripteases her watchers, leading to much embarrassment shared all around.
  • Alexia, a prude, is embarrassed the most of all, so Charisse and Ai take her to the gardens, while Charisse teases her with tales of naked Mistralan wrestling. Alexia starts sketching her two new friends.
  • Ozpin inappropriately joins the festivity to watch Noa's striptease.
  • Noa begins her lap around the Beacon campus with Chloe following. Noiri follows in the shadows, preparing to enact Noa's plan.
  • Goodwitch arrives on the scene to rain bloody terror on the parade. Goodwitch erases everything on Leah's Scroll. She sentences Noa and Chloe to a month of labor in the Portishment — shoveling Grimm excrement — and to wearing a chastity belt. Whatever Noa and Noiri's plan was, nothing comes of it.
  • The chastity belt doesn't concern Noa, but does concern Chloe.
  • In the meanwhile, Noiri shows Charisse's claw to Mack, then to Leah, who joins the conversation. Leah recognises the claw, so Noiri gives it to her. Mack brings up his car. Wulfric, feeling left out, joins them.
  • Chloe's group heads over to Mack's car.
  • Hiiro suggests to Chloe trying to reason with Goodwitch, or play cards for her freedom.
  • Chloe gives Leah her Scroll back.
  • Noa engages in pseudo-lesbian shenanigans, teasing Chloe to breakpoint. Alfred riles Chloe up while Noa holds her back.
  • Mack, Wulfric and Noiri drive off. Wulfric and Noiri help clean his car afterward.
  • Hiiro tempts Alfred into a fight. Ghatz chooses an awkward moment to try to strike up a conversation with Hiiro, then tries to mediate and prevent them from fighting.
  • Chloe suggests Hiiro go sneak into Goodwitch's office to get the key, Hiiro suggests trying to pick the lock instead. Leah tries to analyze Chloe's chastity belt.
  • Hiiro and Alfred have a good old fashioned brawl. Feeling insulted, Ghatz gets proactive and uses his weapon to break up the fight. Alfred and Hiiro agree to stop fighting.
  • Noiri can't get Noa's naked body out of her head.
  • Meanwhile, Alexia, Charisse and Ai share their reasons for wanting to become Huntresses and ponder the meaning of war.
  • Leah's tampering causes Chloe's chastity belt to change into a straitjacket. Chloe is left totally 'armless.
  • Time skips ahead to 9:00 PM.

Bedtime (Pages 19-22)

  • The recruits have moved to the Grand Ballroom, where they'll camp out their first night at Beacon.
  • Chloe considers learning Capoeira to make up for her arm deficiency.
  • Ai continues to ponder the meaning of war, earning a hug from Alexia.
  • Mack plans to sleep standing up like a real man. He also observes Alexia hugging Ai because girl on girl is hot or something.
  • Charisse is still short of one claw, but at least she has a Kerberos head stinking up the place. Leah approaches Charisse and gives her back her claw.
  • Ai asks Alexia to scratch behind her ears. Alexia complies.
  • Alexia asks Leah what happened to Chloe. Noa explains Goodwitch's cruel and unusual chastity belt punishment escalating into a straitjacket.
  • Hiiro returns, having stolen some keys from other students, none of which are the key to the chastity belt. Hiiro suggests trying to laser the lock off, but Leah warns against it.
  • While receiving a pleasant ear scratch and being put in a good mood, Ai suggests that Chloe appeal to Mr. Ozpin for an exception, having observed that Ozpin and Goodwitch's relationship could theoretically be exploited.
  • Chloe decides to use this plan.
  • Charisse and Noa are impressed by Ai's plan and fight over who will have her planning skills at their disposal.
  • Mack continues to observe Ai getting playful with Alexia, as well as the other girls talking. He comments that Noiri is jealous of Hiiro's key thievery. Noiri replies indignantly, and Noa supports her.
  • Chloe enlists Hiiro to help her sneak out and find Ozpin, wherever he is.
  • Wulfric feels left out, what with being chronically boring, he and Mack talk about team choices and also cute girls in sleepwear.
  • Mack shoves Wulfric into Noa. Wulfric doesn't even try to strike up a conversation. Mack throws himself into Noiri. Noiri roundhouse kicks Mack out of the way, and he dogpiles onto Ai and Alexia.
  • Alfred joins in and throws Wulfric towards Noa again. Noa rolls over to avoid Wulfric.
  • Charisse pushes the dogpile off Ai and Alexia. Alexia knees Mack in the groin, who recoils from the pain.
  • Time skips ahead to the next day, two hours before initiation.
