The Guardians face off against an empowered Cedric who takes the battle...to Earth.
The episode contains the following tropes:
- All Just a Dream: As the jewel becomes cracked, everyone trapped inside maintains harmony to escape...until Nerissa seizes her opportunity and frees herself leaving everyone else trapped. Nerissa then uses the Guardians' new forms and lack of will and humanity to conquer Kandrakar, Meridian, Zamballa and Earth and seize all their Hearts for herself. As Elyon's hand reaches down to pick up the jewel it's revealed that Nerissa, as always, chose power over harmony and remained trapped inside it with "nothing but her dreams of conquest" while the others escaped.
- Batman Gambit: The former Guardians and Elyon only did a power convergence between themselves without Nerissa, knowing full well she’ll try to backstab them. Because of this, she unknowingly seals herself inside the Heart while the others actually escape.
- Call-Back:
- Drake gives one of these after he defeats the Tracker by attacking him from inside, saying he saw a Guardian shoot lighting at him in that spot, referring to events of "X is for Xanadu".
- Nerissa reminds the guardians how in "E is for Enemy" that they became their powers to fight her in their dreams, encouraging them to do it again to defeat Cedric.
- Clipped-Wing Angel: The Guardians become their elements...at the cost of their humanity.
- Nerissa: Their power is at its zenith. They're something more than human now!Yan Lin: ...and less.
- Distracted by the Sexy: The Guardians' favorite idol Vance Michael Justin of all people turns up to watch the battle between WITCH and Cedric, momentarily distracting everyone besides Will from the fight.
- Elemental Embodiment: The Guardians, taking a cue from Nerissa and their fight with her in their dreams, literally become their elements and become incredibly powerful. However, they run the risk of forgetting their identities forever.
- Fighting from the Inside: More like poisoning from within. CHYKN, Yan Lin and Elyon taint the power of the Seal from within to give Cedric a "mega kung pow case of indigestion".
- "I Know You Are in There Somewhere" Fight: After escaping the Heart, Elyon and the others try to get the transformed Guardians back to their real selves again.
- Last Episode, New Character: Professor Raphael Sylla is the newest member of the girl's high school faculty, and something seems... off about him. Not that the girls notice. Sylla is an antagonist in the third arc of the comics.
- Unskilled, but Strong: Within himself, Cedric has the power of Phobos as well as the Seal of Nerissa/Scepter of Phobos as well as everyone inside of it. However, Cedric has absolutely no skill with controlling the elements.
