Tropes

  • Canon Welding: With the appearance of Absolute Tartarus, Trigger ends up connected to Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy while Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad receives wielding as well thanks to the appearance of Absolute Diavolo.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Ultraman Trigger tried to fight off Absolute Diavolo valiantly as Glitter Eternity, but ultimately wound up manhandled by him and would have had his energy absorbed if Ultraman Ribut hadn't intervened.
  • Evil vs. Evil: The episode opens with the Dark Giants confronting the Absolutians but eventually giving up after Tartarus threatens them into staying out of his plans.
  • Outside-Context Problem: As soon as they arrive from another dimension, the Absolutians waste no time in forcing the Dark Giants to step aside and try to claim Ultraman Trigger's power of the Eternity Core for themselves. Absolute Diavolo is so tremendously powerful for Trigger that the equally outside-context Ultraman Ribut is the only one to presently stand a chance against him.
  • Villain of Another Story: Absolute Tartarus' role in this series is very minor compared to his original role in Absolute Conspiracy, it's partly implied that he's busy handling the Ultras who are currently looking for him offscreen.
  • Villain Opening Scene: The episode opens up with the Dark Giants and their fight with the Absolutians.
  • Wham Shot:
    • As Captain Tatsumi tends to Kengo's injuries on his arm, he pauses for a second as a flashback depicts Trigger being harmed by Darebolick on the same spot, all but stating that Tatsumi has figured out Kengo and Trigger are the same.
    • As the red orb descends on Earth the dust clears up to reveal Ultraman Ribut to be the one who was chasing the Absolutians to Earth.
  • Worf Had the Flu: According to Carmeara, the only reason she made the Dark Giants stand down against the Absolutians after getting soundly trounced is because they're not at their full power yet.
