Episode Title: "Not Even A Real Abbot"

Tropes:

  • Aluminum Christmas Trees: invoked Both Tom and Matt (who both work with audio in different ways), and later Chris, scoff at the idea of someone making music outside the hearing of the human range and being able to "hear the edits" in normal music. Tom discards Gary from his rulings because of his apparent knowledge of audio when editing, and while Gary was also the incorrect answer, he notes that he based it on a real life person he knows that can hear the cuts on audio tape at such a high frequency.
  • Boring, but Practical: Chris's answer was filled with information on a skin disease called "Evangelina Psarra" that supposedly only affected small religious communities. He gives a lot of details for it, and wows Tom enough to choose him over Matt, whose answer was that "Evangelina Psarra" was a women's archer in the 2016 Olympics.
  • Shout-Out:
    • To Sonic the Hedgehog. When Gary's says that "Evangelina Psarra" is a musician "in the field of sonic art", Matt points to his shirt which shows a 16-bit sprite of Sonic in his Death Throw pose. Gary follows up with the joke that it's "a hedgehog doing really bad Mona Lisa's". Tom does later have to clarify to himself about his "sonic artist" to avoid confusion with the character.
    • The Bob's Full House giggle loop described above.
  • Trivial Title: While the title is a quote from the episode, it's from the unrelated "giggle loop" of Gary laughing at "Bob's Full Bogs", and Matt mentioning that one of the supposed contestants is Russ Abbot, and he chimes in saying "he's not even a real abbot".
  • Take That!: According to Matt and Tom EDM is apparently "Human Discomfort Music" while DDM would be Dog Discomfort Music.
  • Toilet Humour: Gary has a literal case of this, where Gary corpses for several minutes after the panel has been joking about a toilet version of Bob's Full House; Alternately called "Bog's Full House" or "Bob's Full Bogs".
