When Jason finds a time machine, he accidentally sends the Rockhopper seven decades into the future.
Wise Tropes:
- The Comedy Drop: Midgel ends up dropping Fidgel when he jumps onto him in shock.
- False Teeth Tomfoolery: Future Zidgel's false teeth fall out to show that he hasn't actually retained his youth.
- Fountain of Youth: The time machine causes Kevin to revert to a younger penguin and eventually an egg. He reverts back to his regular age in the end.
- Future Me Scares Me: Future Zidgel scares Zidgel due to him being fat, bald, and toothless.
- Get Back to the Future: Inverted. Jason, Michelle, and the Penguins end up in the future and have to find a way to travel back to their own time.
- Humanlike Animal Aging: The aging process is zig-zagged with Zidgel's, Midgel's, and Fidgel's future selves. They have gray hair (In Future Zidgel's case, he's gone bald), but lack wrinkles. Instead, their feathers are grayer.
- Scary Flashlight Face: Kevin does this when Jason starts the time machine and the lights go out.
- Time Machine: Jason finds a time machine in pieces in the storage bay of the Rockhopper. This particular time machine was owned by Fidgel when he was little.
- Time Travel Episode: The plot revolves around the Rockhopper crew accidentally traveling into the future and them figuring out a way to get back.
