When Allison tries out for the school play and Max worries he might lose her to local student actor Nate, she asks Phoebe to audition for the lead in Allison's place, but it soon changes when the part Allison lands has a big kissing scene with Nate's part. Meanwhile, Bill and Nora trick the parents into building a playhouse for them.

- Laser-Guided Karma: Billy and Nora get their comeuppance when Hank and Barb overhear their plan to trick them into making a playhouse, which they give to Chloe; they then punish the twins into bringing them to the play, which they don't find fun.
- Only One Finds It Fun: When Phoebe finishes the play with her Bad "Bad Acting", the whole audience is reduced to Stunned Silence... except for Billy who smiles and enjoys it.
- Wham Line: "I'm talking about you being so cool with me having a big kissing scene with Nate!", said by Allison to Max which causes him to realize he Stopped Reading Too Soon.
