Nolan and Grey investigate a MLM cannabis cream scam after Sergeant Grey's wife gets looped into it by Nolan's mother. It turns out she dramatically overcharged her for it and when they try and get a refund, they find themselves dealing with a much-much nastier criminal syndicate. Stanton, meanwhile, sets up West with a citation for abandoning evidence that endangers any chance of him graduating.
Lopez discovers that her son may also suffer from brittle bone disease and worries until a test proves negative. She also confronts her superior over not assigning her good cases, believing it was because she was pregnant. Nolan also formally breaks ties with his mother over her constant scamming.
