- Borrowed Catchphrase: Once Mama Binturong is forced to retreat, Bunga explains that she's a Binturong instead of a "Ginterbong" before saying "Common knowledge, really", which is what Ono usually says.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Ono when he figures out who "Ginterbong" actually is.
- Failed a Spot Check: Mama Binturong clearly didn't check to see if any of the Lion Guard were around while not feigning injury.
- I Never Told You My Name: Mama Binturong blows her cover when she says Chuluun's name, which she wouldn’t have known unless she was working with her.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Mama Binturong saying Chuluun's name is what allows Ono to figure out who she is, and allows the Lion Guard to prevent her and Makucha's schemes.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Mama Binturong tries this on the Lion Guard by posing as an injured old lady. It works for the most part, until Ono sees through her deception.
