MuppeTelevision: All of the shows are themed around physical fitness, while a book on silly diseases causes Link Hogthrob to think he's got Canadian snout fever.

The Song of the Cloud Forest: In this television special, Milton the Golden Toad wonders if he truly is the last of his kind.

Fitness has examples of

  • Induced Hypochondria: The "Encyclopedia of Silly Diseases" and a series of coincidences gives Link a bad case of this.

The Song of the Cloud Forest has examples of

  • Anti-Villain: The "Uprights" seeking to capture Milton and another golden toad for conservation. However, they are still depicted in the wrong, as they are taking someone from their home and possibly disrupting the ecosystem of the jungle.
  • Green Aesop: Let nature take its course.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: the golden toad was declared extinct in May 1989
  • Humans Are Cthulhu: Humans are called "uprights", and are the only non-puppets in the entire special. They are depicted as faraway shadowy figures whose faces are unseen.
  • Jungles Sound Like Kookaburras: That's why we call it "The Song of the Cloud Forest"
