When Shawn takes aim on a more personal attack on the humans, Glenn has some reservations.
Tropes in this episode include:
- Artistic License – Biology: According to Shawn, Johnny Depp uses giraffe's blood transfusions to keep himself alive in-spite of his diseased organs.
- Comically Missing the Point: When Shawn proposes attacking Team Cockroach specifically and make it personal, Bambadjan thinks he means that they'll literally beat them using one of them as a club.
- Bad Is Good and Good Is Bad: Lampshaded by Shawn, who says that they've been doing this all wrong, and "not in the confusing bad place way where that's actually good."
- Minion with an F in Evil: Glenn feels like it would be cheating to make it personal against Team Cockroach, thinking that all they're trying to do is prove that the system works. When the others laugh at him, knowing full well that it is cheating, he doesn't find it all that funny.
- Overly Long Gag: After the parameters for the candidates are specified to those who would be bad for Team Cockroach, Gayle throws in Steve Hitler (which was thrown out in the first webisode). Cue a long, awkward Beat, camera switching between her and Shawn before Shawn proclaims how she sucks.
- Take That!: Val recommends having Johnny Depp as a pick for Tahani. Shawn agrees, but they can't use him because he's still alive.
