A Plot: After seeing how well Chad Kremp and his father get along, and noticing how much Murray and Adam are frequently arguing with each other at home, Beverly tries to set the two up on a camping trip. The problem is, neither wants to do it.
B Plot: Geoff tries to get Erica to rediscover her love for music by convincing her to audition for an acapella group. However, she is later kicked out for being too bossy and negative, and tries (and fails) to start a rival group out of spite.
- The Bus Came Back: Valley Erica reappears after being absent from most of the season.
- Fishing Episode: Beverly forces Murray to take Adam fishing so they can bond like the Kremps did. Neither Adam nor Murray want to go through with it, so they fake a fishing trip by shooting video at a sporting goods store.
- Hopeless with Tech: This episode shows that Murray has trouble with high-tech gadgets like the matrix dot printer, the walkman and the answering machine, resorting to Percussive Maintenance out of frustration.
- Maintain the Lie: Using Adam's video camera, Murray and Adam pretend to camp in a sporting goods store. However, their lie is soon discovered when the Kremps come over for dinner.
- Spotting the Thread: One of the key factors in Murray and Adam's lie becoming undone is the Kremps recognizing that a fish they "caught while camping" is actually a saltwater species, meaning it must have been bought from a store.
- Start My Own: After Erica is kicked out of an acapella group for being too demanding, she tries to start a competing acapella group to beat them. When she fails to find suitable singers, she next tries to join the JTP's own acapella group, started when Barry was rejected by the same group as Erica (for not only having no singing skill, but also due to the fact that it was an all-girl group). Unfortunately, none of the JTP have any singing chops... save for Andy, who surprises everyone by having a beautiful soprano voice. Eventually, Erica just apologizes and rejoins the original group.
