Abundance and Famine (Tactical Yutnori)
After main match ends, player with the most breads wins. Breads are traded for garnets 3:1.
Game starts with mostly same teams as previous episode: Gura with Sangmin, Poong and Sunggyu against "Jimmy" Cha Minsoo who has everyone else.
Gura plans to play "minority spoils it for majority" game blocking big alliance from taking any bread by overfilling both Famine and Abundance, but he misses that players don't HAVE to buy a ticket in each round and they can save coupons to splurge in later rounds. Thus majority alliance with more people and hence — more coupons, always has the advantage.
Cha on said majority alliance tries to make a plan how to save everyone by achieving joint win and get as much garnets from producers in the process. Poong defects from Gura's minority alliance and tells Gura's plan. Cha changes his plan to nominate one player each round to make sure one player from his team gets bread. Kyungran gets four breads in the first round, taking a lead and from now on Cha ensures her win by destroying all chances for other team to get any bread by overfilling both lands in all subsequent rounds.
Kyungran wins and gives token of life to Changyeop who is afraid of retaliation from Gura's team. She picks Sunggyu as loser, who in turn boldly picks Cha Minsoo — the leader of opposing alliance for Deathmatch.
They are playing Tactical Yutnori with partners and Cha loses.
Tropes:
- Accidental Kiss: between Sangmin and Sunggyu
- Betrayal Insurance: after getting burned by massive betrayal in the last episode Cha doesnt take chances this time and takes people's coupons to guarantee that they can't betray him even if they wanted.
- Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Land of Abundance and Land of Famine are stand-ins for two Korean states.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Sunggyu picked Sangmin as a partner for Deathmatch Tactical Yutnori game. During the game Sangmin pretends he has no idea how to play Yutnori to stall time and fish out reactions from his opponents.
- Sacrificial Lion: Cha Minsoo's alliance "wins", but he himself falls as a result.
- Shocking Elimination: again Cha, who previously was the driving force behind big alliances.
- We Used to Be Friends: starting from this episode Poong splinters away from Gura.
