When Hope kicks them out of the house for the night for the mess they leave, Eep, Dawn, Guy and Thunk spend the night telling scary stories of a monster called The Gorgwatch.

- Girls vs. Boys Plot: A chunk of the episodes devolve into a prank war between the girls and the boys, mainly by tricking each other into thinking that the Gorgwatch is after them.
- Idiot Ball: It's lampshaded when the kids think they are all being stupid for taking the elevator instead of the stairs when they think they are being hunted by Gorgwatch. Eep thinks that there is a brilliance in it because it's so dumb an idea, no one would suspect it.
- Our Cryptids Are More Mysterious: The Gorgwatch is a monstrous predator known by its blue fur, a trail of corncobs and an ominous popping noise it makes. Its name and physical description implies it to be a vicious Bigfoot-esq monster, while Phil's costume has it flying around as a blach silhouette with green glowing eyes, giving it a resemblance to The Mothman and The Flatwoods Monster. In the end, it's left vague if it actually exists or not.
- Scare 'Em Straight: Hope and Phil manage to get back at the kids for leaving a mess by making them think the Gorgwatch is after them, tricking them into cleaning the house under the assumption that it will somehow help.
