Part 2: A flashback reveals how Robin changed from mild-mannered sidekick to quick-tempered leader.
The two parts of the episodes contain examples of:
- Character Development: It shows how the Titans broke Silver Age Robin down into an angry, frustrated leader who has to yell at his team to get them to do anything, and they act like jerks so he doesn't act like his old self.
- Female Gaze: Defied. Starfire suggests that Robin must wear a cape to cover up his butt.
- Get Out!: Robin says this to Starfire, Victor, Raven, and Beast Boy for making him angry for the last time.
- Knee-capping: Instead of accepting defeat to Kid Flash, Robin uses his stick to hit him in the knee.
- Malicious Misnaming: Robin calls Kid Flash "Kid Trash".
