After Starfire kisses his hand, Robin never wants to wash it again. This leads to the hand becoming infested with bacteria and turning sentient.
- David vs. Goliath: Mammoth being the Goliath to Hand's David, when Robin initially thinks it's benevolent and they work together to fight the supervillain.
- Evil Smells Bad: Robin tells Raven she needs to brush her teeth more. She's half-demon so she doesn't have bad breath, but evil breath.
- Fun with Acronyms: Robin tries to make one to remind the other Titans about what body parts need the most care, but the best he can come up with is the unpronounceable "HFTH".
- Here We Go Again!: The episode ends with Robin seemingly learning his lesson and stating he'll never let it happen again, but then Starfire gives him a kiss on the other hand and he immediately seals it in a plastic bag like the first.
- Hypocritical Humor: Robin has to teach the other Titans basic hygiene at the start of the episode, but then he lets his hand get extremely dirty after Starfire kisses it.
- Kissed Keepsake: Robin refuses to wash his right hand after Starfire kissed it. Soon it gets so dirty it develops a mind of its own.
- Organ Autonomy: Robin's right hand becomes this after having been kissed by Starfire and sealed in a bag for three months.
- The Pigpen: The Titans are this until Robin has to teach them basic hygiene. The only exception is Starfire.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Robin was willing to let his hand zombify and fall off to preserve Starfire's kiss mark, but the hand ends up courting Starfire and then washes the mark off before their date.
- Stripped to the Bone: Robin is this for a gag after a whiff of Raven's "evil breath."
- True Love's Kiss: Robin is initially convinced that his hand zombie is actually a case of this, with Starfire being a fairytale princess that brought it to life. When the hand washes the kiss mark off and the hand is still autonomous, however, Robin realizes it really is just an evil zombie and crashes Starfire's date with it to save her.
