After the Titans spend all their money on new jackets, junk food, and tattoos, their older selves from seventy years later come back in time to try and force them to think about the long-term consequences of their actions.
- An Aesop: The episode teaches that you're only young once and you should enjoy it while you can. It also shows that sometimes, a long, healthy life just isn't worth it. It's unclear if this is a Spoof Aesop or not.
- Ret-Gone: After getting frustrated by how much they have to suffer in the present for only minimal benefit in their distant futures, the Teen Titans realize that the only way to get rid of their elderly selves is by being even more careless than they were before so they won't be able to live to old age, resulting in their elderly selves fading away.
- Time Machine: One of these is used by the elderly Titans in order to warp back to their past.
- Was It Really Worth It?: After the older Titans suggest changes to their younger selves' lives, the younger Titans start wondering if living a long and healthy life is really worth all of them.
