Oscar learns that he can earn merit badges that unlock prizes.


Tropes:

  • Bait the Dog: When Susie sees that Oscar sacrifices his merit badges to save his friends, she sounded touched at first until she starts bragging that she won.
  • Brutal Honesty: When Oscar confronts Susie on her sabotaging the other camps from getting badges:
    Oscar: Do you think I'm some kind of a fool?
    Susie: Oh, yes. I'm sorry, was that not clear? Because that's on me.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: When Oscar confronts Susie about his camp guide having ripped out pages:
    Oscar: So, I was looking through my camp guide last night and-
    Susie: What ripped out pages?
    Oscar: I didn't say anything about ripped out pages.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: At the beginning of the episode, Susie makes the campers carry her on her lawn chair. At the end of the episode, after Oscar earns the "Camp Counselor for a Day" prize, he makes Susie and Alice carry him on the lawn chair.
  • Merit Badges For Every Thing: There's a badge for montage music, amongst others.
  • Morality Chain: Betsy is the one who stops Susie from going too far, much to Susie's displeasure.
    Susie: You know, sometimes I really hate you, Betsy...
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: After Oscar made the island rain 100 merit badges, Oscar demands Susie to give them two trips to the chocolate money fountain. When Susie is willing to give Oscar the prize without complaint, Betsy realizes that Susie was trying to keep the real prize for getting 100 merit badges a secret and stops her before granting Oscar's request.
  • Rousing Speech: Spoofed. Oscar tries to give one encouraging the campers to stand up to Susie, but he admits he doesn't have a plan.
  • Tasty Gold: Susie bites into a badge to make sure it's legit.
