- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The first thing Taako does is point his Umbrastaff at Lucretia and begin to count down. No jokes. No snark. No one liners. Justin doesn't even let Griffin finish describing the scene.Taako: Ten. Nine.Lucretia: Taako I know you're upset—Taako: Eight. Seven.Lucretia: Please listen, please-Taako: Six.
- Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: In a flashback, Edward gets sucked into the Umbra Staff and meets a very angry Lup.Lup: I'm going to fucking kill you now.
- Safety in Indifference: Taako doesn't refuse to help try and save the world after regaining his memories, but the pain of remembering the stolen century and his (presumed to be dead) sister momentarily breaks him enough to make him stop truly caring about whether the world is consumed or not.
