As a rule, I like to keep daring rescues down to one a day.
— Col. Caldwell
Tropes:
Bluff the Impostor: When Sheppard and Ronon are buried underneath the rubble, they are found by Michael's hybrids, pretending to rescue workers from Atlantis. Sheppard tests them with a trick question about two obviously fake brands of beer. When the hybrids don't spot the bluff, he and Ronon know what's up.
Continuity Overlap: "Search and Rescues" take place immediately prior to the events of the second SG-1 film Stargate Continuum (which was released 3 weeks after the Season Premiere). Carter returns to Earth in order to attend Ba'al's Extraction Ceremony.
It's also worth mentioning this wasn't intended as the Overlap point initially. Continuum was originally intended to immedaitely follow Ark of Truth and thus take place between the end of SG-1 and prior to the Atlantis Season Three finale. But the delayed release of the films scuttled that plan.
Delivery Guy: McKay for Teyla; she still names it after someone else though.
Ronon: All right, how do you want to play this? Sheppard: Shoot till we can't shoot anymore. Ronon: All right. Sheppard: Been a pleasure. Ronon: Same.
Not That Kind of Doctor: McKay goes through all the reasons why he's the wrong person to deliver Teyla's baby.
Pac Man Fever: Inverted; Sheppard is shown in the infirmary using what is clearly a DS Lite, but when he taps the touch screen with the stylus, rather than making retro video game bloops it beeps with similar sounds to other Atlantis computer technology. Ancient homebrew anyone?
